After Batman vs Superman did not receive the universal praise that it could have gotten, Warner Bros. is set to be more hands-on with the first Justice League movie coming out next year.
Variety have heard from their sources that Warner Bros. executives are paying closer attention to the production of all DC movies going forward.
“I’m told production exec Jon Berg and and Time-Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes are taking more of a hands-on approach now, paying closer attention to overarching story concerns, but someone well versed in both production and DC’s minutiae is what’s needed.”
As for the tone of Justice League Part 1, it is said to be more of a “crowd pleaser” than the dark tone of Batman vs Superman. Snyder has said in the past that this movie will be more light-hearted.
Even though several fans liked Batman vs Superman, it wasn’t the type of movie that was to everyone’s taste. The movie had the potential to make well over $1 billion at the Box Office, but its current rate suggests it might not even make that much.
