The Xbox One X arrives tomorrow and so far it is looking like an excellent console with some real upgrades for games that support it. That is the initial problem though, with only a few games issuing updates right out of the gate. Thankfully that situation will only improve with time, as more and more game companies release patches to add Xbox One X features such as 4K resolution, higher framerates and more. Bethesda just announced their plans to do this for a wide assortment of their games, including Fallout 4, Skyrim, and many more.

Here’s Bethesda’s Xbox One X enhancement plans:

Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus – Supports 4K Resolution. Enhanced features include: Dynamic Resolution

Fallout 4 – Supports 4K Resolution. Enhanced features include: Dynamic Resolution. Enhanced draw distance for trees, grass, objects and NPCs. Enhanced God Ray effects

Skyrim Special Edition – Supports 4K Resolution. Enhanced features include: Dynamic Resolution.

Dishonored 2 & Dishonored: Death of the Outsider – Supports 4K Resolution. Enhanced features include: Dynamic Resolution. Improved framerate stability. 4K textures. Improved geometry/draw distances. Improved anti-aliasing. Improved shadows quality.

The Evil Within 2 – Enhanced Features include: Upgraded resolution. Higher framerate. 30 fps lock removal.

The Elder Scrolls Online – Supports Native 4K Resolution and HDR. Enhanced features include: Increased view distance. Upgraded shadows with Screen Space Ambient Occlusion. Upgraded water reflections.

All of this will arrive via updates to the individual games. There’s no set dates yet, so check back for more as Bethesda gets them ready for the world.
