Woman filmed a dog on a pee pad inside a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, the manager said it was fine, and then Ramsay responded

A content creator visiting Gordon Ramsay’s Street Pizza in Battersea, London, has sparked a massive viral debate after filming a small Dachshund standing on a puppy toileting pad on the restaurant floor. As first highlighted by BroBible, Gizzelle Cade was dining with her husband and newborn son when she noticed two women with dogs who had been allowed to remain inside. When she raised the issue with management, no action was taken.

Cade shared the experience across several TikTok videos that have racked up over 18 million views. In her initial clip, on-screen text read: “Reason #4 what to eat at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant… Dog is allowed to pee and [poop emoji] inside. Manager said it’s fine (we left).” She also alleged the restaurant initially charged her the full bill, including a 15% service charge, despite her complaints.

Cade later claimed she witnessed the dog urinate and defecate in the establishment, with staff taking no action. She was eventually able to get the service charge removed after a back-and-forth exchange but still paid for the rest of her meal. “This is unacceptable,” she told her followers, calling the experience robbery.

Management’s non-response is the part that really set people off

Cade’s account drew comparisons to other viral moments involving a restaurant owner’s hostile response to customer complaints, a pattern that repeatedly draws backlash online. While it is not strictly against the law to allow dogs in restaurants in the UK, food establishments are legally required to prevent animals from entering areas where food is prepared, handled, or stored. According to Dover District Council food safety guidance, businesses must also have procedures in place for cleaning up accidents immediately using disposable materials and disinfectant, and food handlers are required to wash their hands immediately after any contact with animals.

Is this normal in London? Since when did dog friendly mean no hygiene at a restaurant ?‼️ Not only did we notify management & leave but manager charged us full bill with 15% service charge… The two ladies with dogs continued to dine. Husband, baby, and myself left… @Gordon Ramsay @Gordon Ramsay Restaurants #gordonramsay #london #pizza #uklife #londonrestaurants

The presence of a toileting pad in a dining area raises direct questions under those standards, particularly given that Cade was there with a newborn. Public health concerns around sanitation in shared spaces have been a recurring topic of discussion, amid a hantavirus outbreak on a cruise ship that has kept hygiene protocols in the public conversation. Cade stated she specifically checks venue policies before visiting with her baby due to the fragility of a newborn’s immune system, and would not have chosen Street Pizza had she known dogs were permitted inside with toileting pads.

A report from a separate outlet later claimed that an eyewitness said the dog never actually relieved itself, and that the matter was resolved by moving tables. Cade pushed back sharply in a follow-up video, calling the report “factually incorrect.” She explained that the dog had been licking the table and that one of the owners placed the pad on the floor and encouraged the dog to use it within minutes of their arrival. She also clarified that she never requested a table move, only that management address the situation and remove the service charge.

The situation escalated further when social media users pointed to an alleged video response from Ramsay himself. Footage circulating on Reddit appeared to show the chef stitching Cade’s original video, with a male voice asking if his own dog, Bruno, could come in for dinner, followed by a clip of Bruno wearing a diaper. A comment appearing to come from Ramsay’s account read, “Street Pizza Pampers coming to stores near you soon.” Cade said she found the response disheartening. “To stitch my TikTok video with a video with a dog, laughing about it, is beyond appalling,” she said, adding that it felt like “watching your superhero become the villain.”

At the time of her latest updates, neither Gordon Ramsay nor the restaurant team had reached out to Cade to apologize or address the matter.
