Woman orders cooking pan on DoorDash and gets way more than she paid for, now she’s convinced her driver broke the law for her

All he wanted was some banana bread.

Using food delivery apps like DoorDash has become pretty normal for a lot of people. You pay a little extra and someone drops off your groceries or food without you leaving the house. Usually nothing interesting happens during these deliveries. But every once in a while, something weird goes down that makes you want to post about it online.

According to Bro Bible, an Oregon woman named Alexis had one of those moments when she ordered stuff to bake banana bread. She posted a TikTok video about her delivery experience and it blew up with more than 1.4 million views. People could not stop talking about what her shopper Ryan apparently did.

Alexis started filming what showed up at her door. “A huge shout out to my DoorDash shopper, Ryan,” she said while holding up the bananas she got. Then she grabbed the cooking pan she bought. “Also, I ordered one pan. Guess what this b**** did?” she said, showing that there were actually two pans stuck together. “He stole one for me. H** yeah.” People loved it, with one commenter writing “Ryan never wanted a tip. He wanted some banana bread.”

Ryan probably had no idea what he was doing

Even Alexis does not really think Ryan stole anything on purpose. “I actually doubt he knew the pans were stuck together,” she explained in the caption of her video. That makes sense if you think about how things work at grocery stores.

Stores jam pans and pots together really tight on the shelves. Sometimes two of them look like they are just one piece. Workers grabbing items might not notice they are supposed to pull them apart before scanning each one. So the extra pan could have gone from the shelf into a bag and then to Ryan without anybody realizing.

It also might have happened when Ryan was checking out. Those self-checkout machines just read the barcode on items. They do not actually weigh pans like they do with fruits and vegetables. So if Ryan put down both pans thinking it was just one item, the machine would not know the difference. One person in the comments agreed, saying “imagine if he just accidentally grabbed a second one.”

People had all kinds of reactions in the comments. “You better find Ryan and give him some banana bread,” someone suggested. Another person joked “he wants you to make one for him fs.” But some folks were worried Ryan might get in trouble. “Why we snitching gng,” one commenter asked. Someone else said “and now he finna get fired.” One comment tried to see the bright side: “You know what, maybe male DoorDash drivers CAN be good.”

This is not the first time a DoorDash driver has gone viral for something unexpected.

Delivery drivers end up in weird situations pretty often, like when they find strange stuff by restaurant dumpsters or deal with odd customer behavior.
