Okay, so you might be a Norse god. You could have knocked out Hitler a bunch of times and then taken a pretty big nap. Whatever your shtick is, it don’t impress me much because the single most powerful character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has finally revealed himself.

Amid a whirl of PR following Avengers: Age of Ultron’s release, Jeremy Renner appeared in-character as Hawkeye on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon with a very special message: maybe he’s as super as they are. Set to the tune of Ed Sheeran’s hit song Thinking Out Loud, Renner delivers a soulful ballad about how underestimated Hawkeye’s abilities are. For example: he’s really good at opening pickle jars, did you know that? The Hulk might have the strength for it, but he’s every bit as likely to smash the jar and leave you hungry and with a mess to clean up. Hawkeye can also bowl an average of at least 70 when bowling, even after six beers. Captain America’s completely blown out of the water here: he’s basically incapable of getting drunk.

He’s too humble to boast about it in song, but Hawkeye’s also got Black Widow beat at spine-twisting poster poses, to the extent that there’s a thriving tumblr devoted to redrawing him in them (it’s a little more complicated than that, but still. Let him have his moment!).

Have a look at the song below, and let us know if you’ve got any superpowers that could possibly stand up to Hawkeye’s might.
