Ubisoft has confirmed that the next Assassin’s Creed game will be Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag. The company is once again teaming up with Sony to bring exclusive Assassin’s Creed content to PlayStation players with Black Flag, much in the same way that Assassin’s Creed III did in 2012.

Box art for the new game has been released, and the images floating around that suggested the next Assassin’s Creed game would be pirated themed appear to be completely legitimate.

While Ubisoft has confirmed the new game with the release of box art showing the game’s new protagonist, other information on Assassin’s Creed 4 has been quaratined until March 4th. The box art reveals that Assassin’s Creed 4 will be heading to PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U.

Other rumors suggest that this character seen on the box art is a brand new character in the Assassin’s Creed universe, a pirate assassin named Edward Kenway. This is alleged to be the father of Haytham Kenway.
