It appears the launch for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in North America is not going really well. Many people are reporting that the servers are down.
If you look at Twitter right now, many users are reporting that the servers are not working in the game. It seems to be widespread issue affecting many people since it struck midnight in North America.
Even people are replying to the Call of Duty Twitter page to tell them outright that the servers are down. Hopefully Treyarch fixes things as many people would love to get down and start the multiplayer already.
On the plus side, Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 does have a single player campaign, so people can play that instead while they wait. It’s not an always online game so you can still play the game offline unlike Destiny or Need for Speed that always needs a connection.
However, this may be more of a problem for PS3 and Xbox 360 owners of the game since there is no single player mode. Not to mention many COD fans buy the game each year to solely play the online multiplayer mode so you can understand the frustration of people.
We will update this post to let you guys know if the Black Ops 3 servers are up and running.
Update: Activision Support tweeted “Trouble connecting to the Black Ops 3 servers? Restart your console to download the latest game update.“
