In the weeks following Gamescom, Valve is set begin stress testing DOTA 2.  Valve who just recently announced the beta to begin in the weeks following the convention, will be sending out invites via Steam to get the game ready for a still undisclosed release date.  Valve who has said that they are targeting DOTA 2 for a 2011 release, hasn’t committed to anything concrete, and its probably safe to assume that we’ll get a clearer picture of the actual date once the beta starts to iron out the kinks.
