Modern Warfare 3 Goes Free to Play

by | @AttackFanboy | on April 26, 2012

If you’ve held off on Modern Warfare 3 back in November, but want to get a taste of what the game offers, it’s going free to play on Steam this weekend.  The promotion kicks off on April 26th at 10am Pacific Time, and Valve has already offered up the game for pre-loading, so you’ll be ready when it goes live.

The free portion that is being offered to test is the multiplayer modes in Modern Warfare 3.  You’ll get unlimited access to the content from Thursday morning until Monday.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 released late in 2011 as the biggest entertainment launch in history.  Selling 10’s of millions of copies of the game, Modern Warfare is most popular on consoles these days, more specifically the Xbox 360.

You can start your preload for Modern Warfare 3 F2P here.
