Bethesda’s Prey is shaping up to be one of the best action games of 2017. The mysterious project has been a never ending source of speculation, and delays as it made its way to its current and final form. We’ve seen a lot from the game, which hits PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 5th, but today’s newly released video is something a bit different. This one shows players how they can turn into toilet paper.
Prey puts players into the shoes of a lab rat of sorts. As you awaken on the Talos Space Station, you find that it has been overrun by an alien menace known as the Typhon. Thankfully, you were a part of an experiment to enhance human abilities, which gifted you with certain powers that will help you fight this alien threat. One of these is the Mimic Matter ability.
“Acquired from the diminutive (and aptly named) Mimic Typhon,” explains Bethesda, “this power allows you to take the form of just about any appropriately sized object aboard Talos I. You’ll start small – a coffee mug, a teapot, a lamp, a banana – but as you level up this ability, you’ll soon be able to mimic more complex objects, including an impressive array of security turrets and Operator robots.”
But that’s not all the choices you have, as the video below demonstrates. Instead, you can pretty much take over tons of objects in the environment, including the one that caught my eye…toilet paper. Or, as the video concludes, maybe you’d prefer becoming a banana and floating through space. The options seem close to limitless with this special power.
Prey is a sort of reimagining of the original title, which hit Xbox 360 and PC in 2006. There seems to be little of the original title left here, though some surprises may be in store for longtime fans.
