Nolan North has just wrapped up mo-cap work on Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. This is a significant moment considering it could be be the last time he works on an Uncharted game.
Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann tweeted out: “That’s a mocap wrap for Nathan Drake. Take a bow, @nolan_north, you’ve earned it.” It’s possible North could still do some re-recordings in the game, but the majority of the work has been done. It’s not long until the game comes out next March.
Another thing to note is that Druckmann said it’s a mo-cap wrap for the character of Nathan Drake as well. This further means this truly is the end of the character. Naughty Dog has mentioned several times that Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be the end of the series and will see a fitting end for the character.
Naughty Dog actually delayed the game in order to get the finale right. They wanted the series to end on a high note and the delay was the only way to see their true vision. It should be an epic end to a series that started way back in 2007 when the first Uncharted game came out.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End releases exclusively for the PS4 system on March 18th, 2016.
