The NPD Group and the video game research firm EEDAR will join forces to improve the quality of analysis for video game sales according to a recently announced partnership. The two firms will offer a total market tracking service for the North American market that will take in account physical & digital sales on all platforms.
“The NPD Group and EEDAR have always shared a common goal of providing information and insights to our clients in the games industry,” said David McQuillan, of The NPD Group. “We expect that this synergy of resources and vision will result in greater transparency into the total games market including digital forms of distribution as well as the established physical format.”
The two companies will begin offering this combined stat tracking later this year.
