Late last week Harmonix finally made available the long promised feature of song imports from Rock Band 3 into Rock Band 4. However, to start off the feature was only available on PS4, with Xbox One support being promised “soon”. That time has officially come as of this morning, with Harmonix announcing that players on Xbox One can also now import songs from RB3 into Rock Band 4.
If you have trouble with the process you can check out our handy how to guide on the entire import process. Xbox One makes the process a bit easier, taking out a couple of steps, such as individually clicking each download link for each song. Rock Band 3 features 83 songs in the entire game, so this is a bit tedious of a process to have to go through.
Once you’ve done it all, each of the songs should appear within Rock Band 4 and its song list for you to play. There is, of course, no keyboard support as was present in RB3, but for those that have made the leap to the new game it should add some much needed variety to the gameplay.
Rock Band 1 and 2 are still slated to receive the same support, though Harmonix has not clarified when to expect it to arrive. Hopefully it’s soon, cause I really wanna play some Pinball Wizard.
