It’s pretty hard to believe, but next month we will be hitting the one year mark since the launch of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn for both PC and PlayStation 3, with the PlayStation 4 release coming earlier this year. Featuring a subscription service, there are many that have likely let their membership lapse in the months since, so Square Enix is holding a special weekend even to try and bring people back.
Available right now, you can play Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn completely free for the next day and a half or so. This is the perfect time to check out the game again, with the release of patch 2.3 just coming less than a month ago that added a ton of new content.
To play the game again in this stretch, all you do is simply login and be ready to go, without having to set up any payment plans for not cancelling or something, as it will just end at the designated time tomorrow with no stipulations.
For those interested, this special “Free Login Weekend” for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will last until 11:59 PM on Sunday, July 20. Just remember, if you might be planning on playing all day tomorrow or something, make sure to go ahead and get all the patches downloaded ahead of time today so you don’t have to wait at that point.
