Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark is out now for multiple consoles. If you want to buy the Xbox One version, be prepared for a huge day one patch. Before you are able to play the game itself, you will have to wait and download a massive 9GB patch.
This isn’t the first Xbox One game to have such a huge patch on day one. Sniper Elite 3 had a huge patch of 10GB on the first day. As for Wolfenstein: The New Order, that game had a 7GB launch day patch.
Patches are annoying but are something that both the Xbox One and PS4 have to go through these days. People will need more storage if things keep up like this since both consoles only ship with 500GB of storage. On the PS4, you can use a bigger hard drive. On Xbox One, external storage is now supported.
