First Modern Warfare 3 DLC Revealed

Modern Warfare 3 Map Pack detailed by Activision.

First Modern Warfare 3 DLC RevealedActivision has revealed what the first downloadable content will consist of for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. For Elite premium members the content is said to arrive "first on Xbox Live" beginning on January 24th. The first bout of scheduled content will include only two new multiplayer maps.

Liberation is a map that is said to be geared more towards the methodical Call of Duty players, with long sight lines for snipers, and team work required for success. Liberaton is set in New York City's Central Park. The second map, Piazza, was developed with the "run & gun player" in mind. With vertical elements and many pathways to choose from, Piazza's winding stairways throughout the seaside village of Italy is sure to provide some intense gunplay.

MW3 is basically MW2 with shitty maps.
People were trying to boast about how many maps they have on MW3, but only like 2 of them are any good

    Wow, way to go.

Nice DLC. 2 maps. Just 2 maps.

Oh oh, and this I love,

“Piazza, was developed with the “run & gun player” in mind. With vertical elements and many pathways to choose from, Piazza’s winding stairways throughout the seaside village of Italy is sure to provide some intense gunplay.”

So basically it’s sure to provide you with a map that’s mediocre as a whole.

It will just be a grip of different paths, choose which one to get funneled down. Hallways to hallways just eliminates a whole element of strategy. Flanking is a joke because the map design is a clusterfuck or linearity.

Also, choose path A B or C, doesn’t really matter you’ll get across the whole map in 1 minute tops. Just ‘Running and Gunning’ it, which means basically just pointing the crosshairs at the center of the screen and holding the trigger. Oh joy.

Liberation sounds at least interesting, but the way that the COD physics work will ultimately make it the same old COD experience.

Can’t hide in the bush, can’t jump over the bush. Can’t get on top of the bench. WHY IS THIS ROW OF TREES BLOCKING ME!?!?!

Basically take both these maps (Central Park and Seaside Italy), and make Battlefield 3 maps, and I will be astonishingly interested. But I only borrowed a copy of MOD3, and the multiplayer was kinda crap in terms of how much fun it was to play.

    Snoozefest.

liberation is probably comparable to the style of op metro but only the size of one of the 5 areas.piazza sounds kinda like it could be compared to the style of sharqi peninsula. still no comparison on quality.

Yeah I can see what you’re saying on liberation for sure, being like OP Metro in the outside area.

I think some of the problem for me isn’t in the smaller maps, (although doubling the size would be welcomed lol) just the scale of everything is weird and oddly cheap to me.

Apparently you idiots missed the part where he said 9 months of content. If they release 2 maps per month for 9 months then it’s better than paying $15 for 4 maps. But good job assuming that $50 gets you only 2 maps. You both are idiots.

apparently you missed the part where they missed the start of the “season” by 3 months. really think they’re gonna keep up with the other promise?

No dude, you’re an idiot. You just made yourself look like one too.

” But good job assuming that $50 gets you only 2 maps. You both are idiots.”

seriously? is that what you comprehended?

No I didn’t assume that. No shit they’re gunna release more maps. Who would assume that. Who would be stupid enough to think someone would assume that. I guess that’s where you come in.

however, in this PARTICULAR DLC there are only 2 maps. Simple enough for you?

As long as they’re cheap and not restricted to elite. I dont want to pay 50$ a year for this. If we get 2 maps a month after February thats 22 maps this year, which is better than before, but still more price per map than what came with the box. And I dont want any “classic” maps. They dont count. Otherwise it’s a decent DLC plan.

This is not cool for PS3 users! If you’re going to make someone pay extra for Elite then it should be fair across all platforms! I think they should make it up to us by giving us extra guns in these DLC packs! I think they should put this gun the back in the game http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GP-KSC-M93R-MET.htm its awesome! I actually just bought it from Airsplat and I love it!
