‘You can’t kill me and you can’t silence me’: This NYC crusader was ordered to Bellevue, but what happened next will blow your mind

The NYC drama queen is back again.

A judge in New York City sent Anne Marie Bompart to Bellevue Hospital on Wednesday for a mental health check. This happened after she made scary posts online about getting a gun and setting people’s houses on fire. The judge made this decision during a court case where two bars are suing her. Normally, when someone gets sent for this kind of check, they stay for several days. But Bompart got out in just a few hours.

According to the New York Post, the hospital trip happened because of some really troubling things Bompart posted on social media. She wrote threats against people who were making fun of her on a website called Kiwi Farms. In one post on Instagram, she said “I’m bringing my own kerosene from NYC” and talked about burning down their houses.

She wrote “And I will light my joint from the burning flames of your house which will hopefully have u in there burning to death.” Then she added “lol Just kidding” at the end. In another post, she talked about getting a gun or using “a metal bat, broken glass bottle, knife, or likewise will suffice.”

This has been going on for two years now

Just hours after leaving the hospital, Bompart put up videos of herself walking around New York City. “You can’t kill me and you can’t silence me,” she said in the videos. She talked about how the mental health check went “as expected” and said “I’m fine, not crazy.” She even said nice things about the judge, calling him “cool,” and added “I don’t regret anything.”

All of this goes back to a lawsuit that started more than a year ago. Two lesbian bars in Manhattan sued Bompart for harassment and lying about them. Their lawyer, Tom Shanahan, has been dealing with constant messages from her. Things got so bad that the judge had to add Shanahan himself to the list of people Bompart is not allowed to contact.

When Bompart was in court, she said her threatening posts were just her way of fighting back against mean things people said about her online. She told the judge “These are the people I’m defending myself against.”

Her lawyer, Gerard Lucciola, said the fact that she could explain herself proved she was not crazy. He also said the threatening messages were old news and called them “stale.” The whole situation is just one of many unusual situations happening around New York City lately.

But Shanahan did not agree at all. He told the judge “If this court does not act, I think blood is going to flow in the streets of the West Village, because she hasn’t let this go.” He said that even though the bars have not replied to her for two whole years, she keeps sending messages and making threats. He said “for two years, nobody has responded to anything. And yet she keeps going.”

Shanahan also talked about how Bompart acted in court. He said “The fact that she said ‘I have to defend myself from you and everybody else’ just shows that she’s not clearly in touch with reality.” When police put handcuffs on Bompart at the end of the hearing, she yelled insults at Shanahan.

She called him “disgusting and slimy” and even called him a pedophile. This was actually the second time this year that police had to handcuff her in court. If the court decides she is mentally okay to stand trial, the lawsuit will continue. The bars are suing her for $40 million, and Shanahan says she has broken court orders 200 times. For those planning visits to the city, there have been other concerning discoveries about NYC accommodations that travelers should be aware of.
