New Epstein files reveal Norway’s Crown Princess was helping him with something disturbing in 2012, a decade after her royal wedding

She treated his predation like a joke.

Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway has apologized again after new Jeffrey Epstein documents showed she had friendly email exchanges with the convicted sex offender. The 52-year-old royal, who is married to Crown Prince Haakon, came under fire on Friday when files revealed she stayed friends with Epstein for years. The most troubling exchange happened in 2012.

According to The New York Post, the documents show the Crown Princess knew about Epstein’s disturbing personal life and even seemed to help him meet younger women. This was ten years after her royal wedding.

In 2012, Epstein sent Mette-Marit a message about his “wife hunt,” making it clear he wanted to meet young women from her area. “What is the weather like, I am on my wife hunt. paris is proving interesting but i prefer scandinavians,” Epstein wrote.

The princess appeared to laugh along with Epstein’s search for young women

The princess seemed surprised, writing back, “Am still trying to get over the shock that you are in fact wife hunting ..” Epstein then told her about the women he was looking at and mentioned their ages. “Two norweivans here, 24 and 25 . , I like oslo,” he wrote.

Mette-Marit responded to this by seeming to laugh at his spelling mistakes and saying she was ready to talk more. “My god! U Must be drunk spelling mistake. The girls are 24 & 25? I like Oslo too. Call me tmr,” she wrote back. The exchange is part of millions of newly released Epstein pages that continue to reveal disturbing connections.

Other emails showed how close their friendship was. In one message, Epstein shared a science article with her and joked he hoped it wouldn’t make her sad since she likes “to live in the land of make believe.” The princess quickly told him she cared about him. “You always make me smile,” Mette-Marit said, adding, “Because you tickle my brain.”

The palace says Mette-Marit was never connected to Epstein’s sex trafficking crimes. They also said she never went to his private island, which has been linked to many abuse claims. Epstein maintained relationships with many powerful people, including what he really thought about Donald Trump.

The Crown Princess, who had said in 2019 that she knew Epstein from 2011 to 2013, has now apologized again after these documents came out. She said she deeply regrets the contact. “I deeply regret that, and this is a responsibility I must take,” she said.

“I showed poor judgment and regret having any contact with Epstein at all. It is simply embarrassing.” She said Epstein is responsible for his terrible actions, but she had to take responsibility “for not checking Epstein’s background better and for not understanding quickly enough what kind of person he was.”
