Director of the FBI Kash Patel has announced an FBI training program with UFC, and Michael Chandler is one of the fighters selected to lead training for federal agents. But the fighter is already taking playful jabs at Kash Patel and has hinted at the possibility of injuring him on the first day of the training program.
According to HITC, Chandler sarcastically mentioned sparring with Kash Patel himself on the first day of the training session. He declared that his harsh technique could adversely affect Kash Patel’s physical health and joked that he did not want to be the one to break the FBI director’s legs and put him on the injury list. Despite taking the jab, the fighter clarified that he would be off service to the federal agency in the camp.
Michael Chandler, in an interview with TMZ Sports, said, “I definitely don’t want to be the guy who breaks Kash Patel’s leg or orbital bone. I’m going out there to increase the stock and be of service, not put Kash Patel on the sideline; the injured reserve list.” Chandler added, “That would be an absolute nightmare. We’re gonna pull some punches. We’re going to get better, in a very responsible sort of way.” Despite all the jokes, Michael is looking forward to the commencement of the two-day training.
FBI agents are training with UFC fighters this week in Quantico
Jokes aside, the two-day training program will take place this week at the FBI Special Agent Academy in Quantico, Virginia. This is going to be one-of-a-kind training, with fighters like Chandler making it to the FBI academy, where they teach Federal agents one-on-one combat skills to improve their effectiveness against serious offenders.
Kash Patel has declared this program a great opportunity for federal officers to train with some of the best fighting athletes on Earth. The director claims that the FBI would do even better for Americans’ safety with this training and praised Dana White for his efforts with the UFC, making it the face of combat sports worldwide.
With the commencement of the training program and fighters gaining access to the most exclusive training facility of a federal agency, UFC is pioneering a two-way relationship between the government and American Combat sports. Through these sorts of activities, the organization is gaining access to American resources, making it one of the most productive combat sports platforms in the world.
