Tomb Raider will not be getting single player DLC

Tomb Raider will not be getting any single player DLC in the near future. Crystal Dynamics has announced its intentions for the post-release content, and it’s all focused on the multiplayer aspects of the franchise reboot.

In a recent Ask Me Anything on Reddit, Karl Stuart and Noah Hughes explained their DLC plans for fans. “There are currently no plans in place for any single-player expansions. All of our DLC is based around the multiplayer experience for now.”

Tomb Raider fans got their first bit on content earlier this week with the release of the Cliffs and Caves map pack for multiplayer. This DLC isn’t exactly playing to the game’s strengths. You could probably draw a random review of Tomb Raider out of hat, and it would likely say that multiplayer was the weakest element of this latest release.

There’s no doubt that the developers plan on a revival of the franchise, and the positive response that Tomb Raider has gotten should pave the way for that. As for new adventures with Lara Croft, you could be waiting a while.
