While the US won’t be seeing Hyrule Warriors for about another month and a half, the game is set to release in Japan in only a couple days. As a result, all sorts of new information has been flooding in lately. This latest piece of news is one that should make a lot of fans happy, as it’s something that has long been requested in the Zelda series that we first saw partially in The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, the ability to play the game in any order we want.

While The Legend of Zelda series has maintained a pretty large and open world to explore in most games, it still mostly required you to complete the dungeons and major tasks in a set order. However, with a focus of many games on letting you play them the way you want, the series has had to undergo a few changes. The upcoming The Legend of Zelda for Wii U looks to take this to an entirely new level, but Hyrule Warriors is a great next step in that direction.

The latest Famitsu that divulged this information mentions that Sheik and Impa go to the world of Ocarina of Time, Lana goes to Twilight Princess, and Link to Skyward Sword, with the ability to choose whichever one you want to try out first. Hyrule Warriors just keeps sounding better and better and we can’t wait to get our hands on it when it releases in the US on September 26.
