Much like for the release of Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster, the soundtrack for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will also sound a bit different when it comes out.

The Square Enix Blog had a chance to interview Final Fantasy Type-0 HD director, Hajime Tabata. The site questioned him about the game’s soundtrack. They wanted to know if it will be remastered like Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. It sounds like it will have an altered soundtrack.

Tabata said the “songs will be remastered and redone“. He said a lot of effort had been done by the development team to make everything sound good. The main reason the music will be remastered is so that the game sounds good on “TV Speakers”. They felt the original soundtrack suited only portable speakers more, so they needed to make the changes.

Tabata also explained some of the sound effects were also redone in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD as well. He again blamed the portable speakers from the PSP weren’t able to generate “deeper sounds“. You get a bigger range of sounds with TV speakers so they made changes there too.

Apart from a graphical change, the audio in Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will also sound different too. Fans that have played the game before will notice some changes have been made…
