Team Ninja might be thinking of releasing another DOA Xtreme Volleyball game after Dead or Alive 5 Last Round comes out.

Dead or Alive 5 Last Round’s producer, Yosuke Hayashi, expressed his interest in a new volleyball game during an interview with Famitsu. He said many staff at Team Ninja would love to make a new DOA Xtreme Beach Volleyball video game. They are interested to see what could be done with current-gen hardware. The last volleyball game was released way back in 2006 for the Xbox 360 only.

Hayashi said they would consider doing a new volleyball game if consumer demand is high enough. If a new volleyball game is to be made, they will be using the new “Soft Engine” that is powering Dead or Alive 5 Last Round.

Team Ninja has announced that Dead or Alive 5 Last Round will be the last version of Dead or Alive 5 that they will be releasing. This is good news as nobody really likes it when game developers release the same game multiple times.

One would think Team Ninja would go on to develop Dead or Alive 6 after Dead or Alive 5 Last Round. This new interview suggests a new volleyball game might be coming out first.

What would you like to see come out first? Dead or Alive 6 or another volleyball game?
