Microsoft is currently offering 12 month subscriptions to Xbox Live Gold for $39.99 on their online store. With the yearly subscription to Xbox Live Gold becoming more of a requirement, and more of a good deal thanks to Game with Gold and other deals, we like to highlight when gamers can get their hands on a few months for cheap. Usually 12 months of Xbox Live Gold will run you $59.99, making this a $20 savings right off the bat. Add on the currently free games of #IDARB, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, and Sniper Elite V2, along with next month’s offerings of Rayman Legends, Tomb Raider, and Bioshock Infinite and the financials start to look a lot better.

Purchasing the subscription for the Microsoft Store adds a little extra bonus, in that you can choose to either receive the physical card or simply get a download code. This will save money on shipping, while getting you onto Xbox Live faster if you are able to use the code.

The official description of Xbox Live Gold reads “With Xbox Live Gold, you get the most advanced multiplayer, free games, exclusive member discounts up to 50-75% on games in the Xbox Store, and more. And on Xbox One, it’s even better, with smarter, faster matchmaking, and online multiplayer for everyone in your home.”
