It looks like fans will have to wait longer to see Mass Effect Andromeda as it will not appear at Gamescom 2015.
BioWare’s Chris Wynn confirmed on Twitter this weekend that Mass Effect Andromeda will be missing the big show next month. However, he promised the game should be able to make an appearance at Gamescom 2016 instead.
The official Mass Effect Twitter page confirmed though that we may hear more information from the game “near the end of the year“. The game is coming out Holiday 2016, so there’s plenty of time for information to eventually trickle out.
The official Twitter page just mentioned a few bits of details about Mass Effect Andromeda. They claim it’s their most ambitious Mass Effect title to date and fans will have to do a lot of exploring. It’s set in an all-new galaxy so different planets and alien life are to be expected.
EA have confirmed that they will be attending Gamescom 2015 though. It’s likely the publisher will be focusing on games coming out in Fall 2015. They have lots of sports games on the way as well as Need for Speed and of course Star Wars Battlefront.
Hopefully whatever news EA and BioWare have in store for Mass Effect Andromeda near the end of the year will be worth it.
