Tekken 7 director, Katsuhiro Harada, has confirmed that he will be attending the Tokyo Game Show (TGS) 2015 next month.
A fan asked Harada on Twitter if he will be at TGS 2015. He answered with: “Of course I’ll go there.”
Bandai Namco have been very quiet in regards to a console version of Tekken 7 all year. The arcade version of the game has been released in Japan, but there has been no talk of the game being ported to home platforms yet.
Hopefully some big news about the game happens at TGS 2015. At TGS 2014, Bandai Namco announced the new character named Catalina. Since then, several new characters have been added to the arcade version by way of many updates.
It’s speculated Tekken 7 will eventually make its way to the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Whether or not the game releases in 2016 remains to be seen.
Harada is a busy man working on many other projects so we might see some other games from him at TGS 2015 as well. He’s working on Pokken Tournament which is an arcade fighting game involving Pokemon characters. The man is also developing a game for the Project Morpheus headset too.
Not to mention Tekken X Street Fighter is also in development. That game has been missing in action for many years, although Harada confirmed earlier this year they’re still working on it.
