It’s been three years since Dragon’s Dogma was released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Capcom’s open-world, fantasy RPG was generally well received, featuring tight gameplay mechanics and an innovative ‘pawn’ system, which saw your AI accompanied teammates elicit intelligent actions and movements.
But PC users were left in the dark, with Capcom tight-lipped on any release for Windows…that is until now. Capcom have announced that Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will, finally, be released for PC in January 2016. Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen released a year after the original Dragon’s Dogma, and, as well as including all the content from the main game, featured a new zone (Bitterblack Isle) all the game’s DLC, new items, weapons, armor and quests, and a new fast travel system. Capcom state that the PC version of the game will feature “stunningly high-res graphics and improved fidelity,” along with support for Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers, as well as the standard mouse and keyboard control scheme.
Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen will go on sale for PC users for $29.99/€29.99/£24.99.
