Nintendo Will Show More Than Just Zelda at E3 2016 After All

Nintendo made headlines when they announced that E3 2016 will be totally dedicated to The Legend of Zelda for Wii U. Sure, the game looks to be a massive hit, but having it be the one and only game at the show upset and bewildered a lot of fans, especially with a new console and other big games coming down the line. Now, while The Legend of Zelda might still be the only game on the actual show floor, it seems like Nintendo has expanded their E3 plans to include some other games.

During a recent livestream Nintendo went into detail on what games will be shown off as part of their Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3! show, saying (via Kotaku) “Nintendo heads to E3 once again and brings the coverage directly to you with a two-day program from Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3! Tune in starting at 9 a.m. PT on June 14 for a day of live-streaming gameplay focused on The Legend of Zelda for Wii U and first live gameplay of Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon that kicks off the program!

“Day 2 of Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3 will showcase upcoming releases for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, including Monster Hunter Generations, Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past and Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE! Day 2 will start with a special Pokémon GO developer Q&A at 10 a.m. PT on June 15”

So this changes two big things. First, the entire first day will not be dedicated to Zelda, with a gameplay premiere for Pokemon Sun and Moon. Second, there is an additional day of announced coverage, with multiple other games being shown off. Whether these games have also been added to the show floor or not is anyone’s guess, but with how tough it is to plan an event like E3, it’s likely tha it remains dedicated to The Legend of Zelda.

E3 2016 kicks off on June 12th with various press conferences, and the show itself begins June 14th. We’ll be there, so be sure to watch for all of our coverage.
