Backwards compatibility on Xbox One is providing players with a way to experience a lot of old games from the Xbox 360 era on a new console, but that hasn’t stopped us from also getting remasters like last year’s Deadpool. That might not be the only Marvel game that could be getting remastered, as a recent rating may indicate some upcoming remasters for Xbox One and PS4.
As pointed out by Gematsu, the Taiwan Game Software Ratings Information board just had some interesting games pop up that seem to indicate them coming to current-gen consoles.
Listings were found for both Xbox One and PS4 for three games, including Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 1, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2, and Transformers: Fall of Cybertron.
This doesn’t definitely confirm anything, but typically when ratings are found like this, they end up turning into something. These are some odd choices as they almost seem like they could have been made backwards compatible on Xbox One instead. However, they must think they can bank on the popularity of Marvel and Transformers and get some sales for both Xbox One and PS4.
We’ll have to wait and see if these get announced officially in the near future, especially with nothing coming at E3. Though based on how long it took the Batman: Arkham collection to be revealed, we could be waiting a little while.
