Those who pledged at least $60 for Koji Igarashi’s Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night on Kickstarter were promised to get a demo version of the game prior to launch, and now they have it. However, if you didn’t pledge the money to get the demo you don’t have to feel left out, as a playthrough of the entire thing has been uploaded on YouTube.

The demo features about 25 minutes of gameplay, showcasing a level that takes place on a boat. You can definitely tell that Iga is remaining faithful to Symphony of the Night, with Symphony’s quick back-stepping even being included. It looks like fans of the old-school metroidvanias are going to be in for a treat with this one.

Bloodstained stars an orphaned girl named Miriam, who is afflicted by an alchemist’s curse that is slowly turning her skin into crystal. Her goal is to explore a demon-filled castle that contains a summoner named Gebel, who has suffered from the same curse for a long time.

While the game is shaping up nicely, there’s still a ways to go before it will finally launch. The game is currently aiming for a March 2017 launch window, with the game being in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation Vita and PC.
