Nintendo had another shareholder meeting last night, delving into all of the different areas of their business and where things are headed. While many different topics were discussed during the meeting, they also briefly discussed the Wii U and their plans for it going forward.

During the meeting Nintendo revealed that they have no plans to shut down production of the Wii U console or the development of games for it. However, as of this writing the only major game planned for release on the console in 2017 is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Elsewhere in the meeting they reconfirmed that the NX will launch in March of 2017, despite a new feature that they are currently trying to incorporate. The 3DS has not been doing well in the sales department due to the lack of big games, but they’re hopeful that things will turn around with the release of Pokemon Sun and Moon later this year.

Amiibo has been the biggest success for the company lately, with the figures selling 24.7 million worldwide and the company revealing that they will “continue to focus” on them.

On the mobile gaming side of things, they report that Miitomo was a good start for the company in the casual gaming space. They also reconfirmed that the Fire Emblem and Animal Crossing mobile games are still set to launch in the Fall of this year.
