The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list is growing once again today with four new items being added to the much beloved feature. Two of the titles are full game releases, while the other two are Dead Rising DLC. Their additions add to the ever increasing list of Xbox 360 games that can be played on the Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility, which has exceeded 300 total games for months now.
The two full game releases hitting Xbox One Backwards Compatibility are likely not going to impress most Xbox fans. Cars 2 and Meet the Robinsons join the list today, bringing some kid friendly fun to the more modern console. These games weren’t reviewed all that well, but for the small group of consumers who own them, they will likely be pleased to be able to download and play the games without having to pull out the old 360.
The DLC additions will probably be more exciting for gamers, bringing Dead Rising’s excellent spin off adventures to the Xbox One. Dead Rising 2: Case Zero and Case West hit the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility list today. We’ve seen DLC spin offs like this available for the feature before, with Red Dead Redemption and its zombie survival spin off being added at the same time.
Xbox One Backwards Compatibility has been an integral part of the console’s experience for some time. Surprisingly introduced at E3, the feature was rolled out the following November to great acclaim. This generation has seen a divergence away from console backwards compatibility, with services like PlayStation Now trying to fill the gap. Microsoft went the other direction though and has seen a great response for it.
More and more games are being added to the Xbox One Bakcwards Compatibility list all the time, so keep checking back for more, and let us know in the comments what games you’re still waiting for.
