DONTNOD Entertainment, the developer behind Remember Me and Life is Strange, has been working on the action-RPG Vampyr, which is set to release two months from today on June 5 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Today (April 5), a new story trailer for the game was released, which shows the main character’s struggles between his humanity and new vampiric nature.

The new trailer shows Jonathan Reid, a doctor and newly turned vampire, trying to figure out his place in the world as he goes back and forth between his altruistic decision to help people as a doctor and his new lust for blood as a vampire. Reid also must wrestle with his pre-conceived notions that logic and science are the law of the world once he realizes that supernatural elements take just as much precedence. In a post-World War I London that is ravaged by the Spanish Flu, Reid must deal with being outcast from human society, as he is now viewed as a monster, as well as finding middle ground between his desire to help and kill the city’s citizens. The whole trailer is set to a chilling new version of Blue Öyster Cult’s “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” by Phlotilla feat. Mona Najib.
