The developers for Guild Wars 2 have recently compiled a brand new gameplay showcase video that introduces “World vs. World” PvP play. Matt Witter and Mike Ferguson explain how three teams battle for control over objective in massive player vs player environments.

With wars that can last literally for weeks, and uncountable ways to contribute to the battle, World vs World mode is PvP on steroids. Guild Wars 2 is due to release on August 28th, 2012. The game will cost $59.99 up front to play, but there are no subscription fees like other large scale MMOs.
