Adella Faheem Starfield

Should You Turn in Adella Faheem in Starfield?

Some missions in Starfield require you to make a choice that can alter your playthrough of that mission. One of these quests is Captain’s Bounty, so read further to learn whether you should turn in Adella Faheem in Starfield or protect her.

What Happens if You Turn in Adella Faheem in Starfield?

If you turn in Adella Faheem in Starfield, you’ll receive roughly half the credits you would by persuading that bounty hunter to let her go. I recommend persuading Ernesto (the bounty hunter) as it’s the better option. This option gets you more credits but does need a successful persuasion check. During the Captain’s Bounty quest, Adella Faheem is scared due to Ernesto being on the lookout for her.

Ernesto is located in the bar to her right. This is when you can either persuade him to let you go (impersonating Adella) or change your mind and say that you are not Faheem.

What Are the Different Outcomes of Captain’s Bounty Mission in Starfield?

The outcomes of each decision are similar, and I made sure of it by loading a save file and trying both. The only difference is that protecting Faheem and successfully persuading Ernesto rewards you with more credits. If you change your mind and say you are not Adella Faheem, Ernesto won’t believe you and will fight you in a shootout. Defeating him and returning to Faheem will net you roughly half the credits.

At the end of the day, it’s best to take your chances to persuade Ernesto to let you go while impersonating Faheem. Even with a low rank in the Persuasion skill, you should be fine being successful when selecting the persuade dialogue option. The mission will conclude once you return to Adella Faheem and accept your reward. She will still be grateful for your time and effort, whatever your decision.

How to Persuade Ernesto in Starfield

Persuading Ernesto is simple and doesn’t require a high rank in the persuasion skill. I was only Rank 2 when I persuaded Ernesto, although it can be done at Rank 1 as well. Below are the answers to the persuasion check so you can easily pass it on your first try.

  1. Deep down, you want to do the right thing. And killing me is wrong (+2).
  2. You’re the one who said this smells fishy. Trust your gut (+2).

Selecting these two options has the highest chance of passing the persuasion check with Ernesto, where he will now forget about the whole ordeal with Adella Faheem in Starfield.
