The 10 Best Genshin Impact Main DPS Characters Ranked

Recommended Videos

Genshin Impact is celebrating its first anniversary this week and to help celebrate the mark we decided to rank the game’s top 10 Main DPS, all of which are sure to take you all the way to Celestia. It’s important to point out that the list was made taking into account the character’s state at C0.

10 – Keqing

Keqing

To start our list we have Keqing, the Yuheng of the Liyue Qixing, and one of the 5-star characters currently available at the standard banner. Keqing’s strength lies in the fact that she can deal constant Electro damage with her Elemental Skill while also working extremely well as a Physical damage dealer. The fact that her Elemental Burst uses only 40 energy and has a small cooldown window also helps her deal not only high elemental damage but also generate a lot of energy for her supports.

9 – Yoimiya

Yoimiya

In the ninth place, we have Yoimiya, Inazuma’s best pyrotechnician and the current owner of Naganohara Fireworks. Yoimiya is capable of dealing high amounts of Pyro damage thanks to her Elemental Skill which coats her normal attack in the element. As with all Pyro DPS’ Yoimiya’s overall damage can be taken to new heights by making use of Elemental reactions. Her first passive ”Tricks of the Trouble-Maker” is also one of her biggest strengths since it boosts her Elemental Damage by each normal attack fired.

8 – Klee

Klee

Everyone’s favorite and the strongest member of the Knights of Favonius, Klee is a DPS who has in her charged attack her biggest source of damage. With that said, even if her high ATK makes up for her low attacking speed, good positioning is key to be able to use her well. As with all Pyro characters, pairing her up with Cryo and Hydro is the way to go.

7 – Tartaglia

Tartaglia-Childe

In the eighth place, we have Tartaglia, also known as Childe, the Eleventh member of the Fatui Harbingers and the game’s only Hydro DPS. He is also one of the only characters in the game capable of switching fighting styles. Tartaglia’s biggest strength lies in the fact that he can deal high elemental damage frequently and at high speed. He can also synergize extremely well with both Bennett and many other Pyro/Cryo supports.

6 – Diluc

Diluc

It would not be a Genshin Impact Main DPS list without The Uncrowned King of Mondstadt, Diluc, which was once the game’s top DPS. Diluc is capable of not only dealing high Physical damage but also massive Elemental Damage, thanks to its Elemental Burst passive, which infuses his Claymore in Pyro for a time. Overall, Diluc is a very straightforward character who can work well with a wide array of characters, including, ironic as it may be, his brother Kaeya.

5 – Kamisato Ayaka

Ayaka

The first Cryo DPS in our list, Kamisato Ayaka is a character specialized in dealing frequent amounts of Cryo damage. Her playstyle is extremely similar to Keqing’s in the sense that she can keep her blade coated in Cryo almost all the time. With that said, her ability to deal massive Cryo damage, trigger many damaging reactions, and deal massive Elemental Burst damage allows Ayaka the title of one of the game’s best and most accessible DPS’, capable of working well in many compositions.

4 – Xiao

Xiao

The only remaining member of the Legendary Yakshas, Xiao is one of the game’s most complete DPS’, being capable of dealing high Physical damage as well as massive Anemo Damage when in his Burst State ”Bane of all Evil”. Xaio’s greatest strength lies in his plunge ATK, capable of, in his burst mode, averaging from 25 to 40K damage per jump. On the downside, Xiao needs a team capable of keeping him healthy at all times, as well as a battery to keep his Burst available. With that said, he is a character capable of obliterating any enemy when put in the right composition.

3 – Eula

Eula-1

The Spindrift Knight and the current Captain of Knights of Favonius’ Reconnaissance Company, Eula takes the third spot for being not only the best Claymore user in the game but also its best Physical DPS. Eula can to not only deal massive damage with her normal attacks but also lower the enemies Physical resistance with her Elemental Skill and deal massive Burst Damage thanks to her Elemental Burst ”Glacial Illumination”. Her ability to apply Cryo on enemies and her great synergy with almost all the game’s top Electro supports is also noteworthy.

2 – Ganyu

Ganyu

The game’s top Cryo DPS as well as a character considered by many as Genshin Impact’s best DPS, Ganyu is a DPS focused on dealing massive elemental damage with her charged attack, which is able to deal insane amounts of damage not only against single targets but also in small AOE. With that said, her ability to deal massive damage by herself is already enough to put her among the best on the list, but she is also capable of dealing AoE damage as well as enable/trigger high damaging reactions with both her Elemental Skill and Burst.

1 – Hu Tao

Hu-Tao

In the first place, we have the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, Hu Tao. Hu Tao is a character whose main strength lies both in her elemental Skill ”Guide to Afterlife” which coats her weapon in Pyro and gives her an attack boost based on her max HP and in her insanely high damaging charged attack, capable of dealing 5 figures of damage when infused. She is also capable of dealing massive damage with her elemental Burst, when used together with her elemental Skill, and is capable of synergizing extremely well with Hydro and Cryo supports. Just like Xiao, Hu Tao is what many call a selfish DPS, meaning that to bring the best in her, you need a composition focused on both increasing her damage and keeping her alive.

Genshin Impact is currently available for PC, via miHoYo’s official launcher and on the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices – Android, and iOS. So, is your favorite Genshin Impact DPS at the top of the list?
