Star Wars Battlefront 2 Guide: How to Use Jetpack

Recommended Videos

Star Wars Battlefront 2 introduces a couple of different character classes that allow for players to use a jetpack ability.  You may see players jumping around the map and have been wondering how they do it.  Simply put, you’ll need to be using a specific character class to use the jetpack ability.

The Aerial Class is the first, and easiest, way to use Jetpack in Star Wars Battlefront 2.  Both factions can use a jetpack unit in the game, but to use them you’ll need to purchase them with the credits earned by playing each match.

Each time you die in Star Wars Battlefront 2 in a match you can opt to spend the points you’ve earned during a match.  On the Rebel side you can select a “Rocket Jumper” for 2000 Credits in Galactic Assault.  For the Empire players can earn “Jet Troopers” which feature similar abilities.  These classes features a Jetpack Boost, which thrusts you into the air.  It is by default tied to the LB or L1 button.

Classes with Jetpacks can also use a jetpack dash, which allows you to dash forward and this move is by default tied to the RB or R1 button.

Certain Hero classes also feature a jetpack.  Boba Fett for example has a special ability which allows him to fly high into the air by activating his jetpack boost as well.
