Ground Branch is a Realistic Tarkov Alternative for Solo Players

If you’re looking to get into the action of Escape from Tarkov, but find yourself intimidated by the high level of skill needed to get into the multiplayer action, or just want to explore the world at your own pace, you really should pay some attention to Ground Branch. Brought to life by one of the original developers of the Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six games, you’ll find yourself enamored by this game.

But, what makes it special compared to other titles, and what makes it worth your time and money? Let’s dive into the details as to what makes Ground Branch a one-of-a-kind shooter, with action that isn’t found anywhere else.

Ground Branch Brings Realism To Another Level

If you’re tired of first-person-shooter titles being unrealistic, you don’t even need to read any further. You’ll be in complete control of your character in this simulation title, making it one of the harder games to try to survive in. If any part of your body is visible, your foes can target it and make you pay, and with its unique viewpoint system that puts the camera control directly in the eyes of your character, you’ll be able to see every detail.

You’ll need to take things slow, as this is the kind of game that will punish you for just running into a room and attempting to take down a large group of enemies. You’ll need to put your Call of Duty knowledge on the backburner, and re-learn how to play an FPS game with this kind of action. It’s a wonderful change of pace and helps you learn patience while also figuring out the finer details of how the game functions.

If you’re reloading your rifle, you’ll see all of the action unfold, rather than a static animation. You’ll look to your hip, grab a clip, and watch yourself load it, meaning that you’ll need to make sure that nobody has their sights on you. You’ll be vulnerable, and you’ll need to think before you act. It also offers one of the most in-depth customization models for your weapons and character around, so you’ll be able to make your dream loadout a reality.

Adding to the realism, there’s a very small amount of HUD that you’ll be able to see, so you’ll need to make sure that you’re not only focusing on your enemies but also your supplies. You’ll need to do everything in your power to survive, and this game makes sure that you’ll need to learn how to do just that. There are also zero microtransactions, so every piece of cosmetic eye candy is yours for the taking with no extra charges.

You’ll also even be able to control specifics for your weapons, such as high and low aiming, giving you a crazy amount of control over the actions that you take. It seems to take the original ideas that came to life in the Rainbow Six Series and bring them to life once again, with stunning graphics and amazing physics.

If you find yourself pining for the days of old, where you would need to think about your actions, rather than running into a room and lighting up every enemy with a few bullets, then Ground Branch is the title that you’ve been looking for. There is a steep learning curve, but being able to learn how the game works, rather than being forced to fight players around the globe that may have already put in years’ worth of time can help you learn and grow into it.

There’s been a need for a straightforward tactical shooter that brings the glory days back into the limelight, and it seems that if the development cycle continues to progress, Ground Branch could find the mainstream success that it deserves.

Ground Branch is available now in early access on PC.
