Best Ways to Get Longshots Easy in Call of Duty: Vanguard

Recommended Videos

Much like other entries in the Call of Duty franchise, Call of Duty: Vanguard will require players to get longshot kills in order to complete challenges. Getting these longshot kills can be quite the task since the main playstyle for Call of Duty games tends to be close-quarters fighting. Call of Duty: Vanguard is no different in playstyle, so you will need to adapt in order to get long-range kills. In this guide, we will cover some tips and tricks you can use to help get those longshot medals.

How to get Longshot kills

Getting a longshot kill is only described in-game as getting a kill at long range, this isn’t very helpful when trying to figure out how far the enemy needs to be from you for it to count. It seems that you need about 30 meters between you and your target for it to count as a longshot kill. Of course, this can be quite tricky to judge in-game and even more so in the middle of a gunfight. to more easily have long-distance fights you can follow these tips:

  • mount onto corners and windows overlooking long sightlines
  • play objective-based game modes and cover the object from range
  • Play hardcore so you can kill enemies quicker at range

along with following those tips, you can improve your chances to get longshot kills by using a sniper rifle or marksman rifle. If you do want to use other weapon types make sure to equip attachments that increase range and use a long-range sight. Using pistols and submachine guns will prove the most difficult to get longshot kills with. That’s when playing in hardcore will help the most as the time to kill will be much lower at range.

By following these tips you should have an easier time getting long-range kills. However, this will still need to be something you dedicate time to as you will need to change your entire playstyle. You will need to find spots you can hold down on maps that enemies will be far enough away from you to get the kills. Consider yourself to be an expert marksman waiting for the perfect shot, only to be called a camper by the enemy you killed. Make sure to check out our other guides for Call of Duty: Vanguard.
