Borderlands 3 is shlooter with a story, but once it’s over that doesn’t mean the fun stops. In fact, Borderlands 3 is designed to keep you playing far after the credits have rolled. Offering you higher challenges for solo and cooperative play. However, to get to this endgame content and tackle the game’s toughest challenges you’ll need to focus on leveling up fast. This guide will explain the five best ways to level up fast in Borderlands 3.
Focus on Story Missions
You’re going to want to focus on the story missions in the Borderlands 3 campaign if you want to level up fastest. There are so many things to do in the campaign it can be easy to get side-tracked, but make sure you stay on course be heading into the character menu and making sure you have the right quests tracked. You’ll find far more enemies, bosses and faster leveling when you’re playing the main story missions rather than the side mission content.
While playing Story Missions Try to Complete Secondary Objectives
You may also notice that some story missions have additional objectives. These can vary from mission to mission so make sure to check your UI for additional objectives. Completing these along with completing the mission will earn you more XP.
Use XP Boost Items
There are items in Borderlands 3 that will allow you to get an overall XP boost. These artifacts are locked until you’ve passed a certain point in the story, but don’t hesitate once you gain the ability to use artifacts to equip the ones that boost your XP if that’s your primary objective.
Turn on Mayhem Mode
Mayhem Mode unlocked once you’ve completed the game’s main campaign and it will offer you a much harder challenge, better loot, and more XP. If you’re still on the XP grind after the campaign you can use the mode in Sanctuary to earn XP fast.
Still in the End Game? Try the other modes
Alongside Mayhem Mode there are other modes like Proving Grounds and Circle of Slaughter which will also give you a big XP boost for playing. These modes will also allow you to earn loot while your power-leveling your characters.
Play Cooperative When you Can
Cooperative play definitely gives you more XP than solo. If just for the fact that you earn more XP from picking up fallen friends or teammates, you should be earning more XP by playing in co-op. That’s not even considering that a good fireteam will mow through enemies much quicker than a solo player.
