In Borderlands 3 you can use emotes to express yourself when playing.  You’ll start out with some basic emotes, but you’ll soon get plenty of new moves by earning emotes or purchasing them from Crazy Earl for Eridium.  Once you’ve got more than four emotes, you can change emotes to your preference.

To change emotes and swap in new ones you’ll need to head to one of the game’s quick change machines.  In these machines you’ll be able to do many of the customization options for your character and emotes is there as well.

However, if you’re trying to swap out emotes before you’ve unlocked any new ones, you’ll notice that you can change any.  You’ll need to get new ones and one of the fastest ways to do that is by visiting Crazy Earl at the bottom of the ship to purchase them for Eridium.

If you’ve already got more emotes than there are emote slots, you’ll be able to select which ones you want to make active.
