There are a number of different characters to select from in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, much more than was available in the original release on PlayStation. Adding in characters from future entries in the series has allowed a lot more choice for players, with each character also having a number of skins to choose from as well. This guide will tell you how you can customize characters in this game.

How To Customize Characters In Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled

Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has a decent number of characters already unlocked when you first start up the game, with others able to be unlocked in a variety of different ways. Once a given character is unlocked, you can them customize them by selecting the skin you want to use in races as well.

Actually selecting which character you want to change up is done in two different ways, depending on which mode you are playing. In Adventure Mode, you can pause at any time and bring up the menu and select Customization. This will bring up a menu where you can then select Characters. Pick the one you want and it will take you to Skins, where you can then select the skin you want. You will have to unlock a good majority of these in the game, but you can select from any of the ones you have unlocked at that time.

When just racing outside of Adventure Mode, the option to change your character and their skin comes up in the options provided after choosing a track. Make sure to select Characters and then pick the character you want to use first of all. After you pick the character, you should be taken to the Skins menu, which will allow you to pick between your available Skins just like in Adventure Mode.
