Deathloop How to Disable Turrets – Hack and Control Sentry Turrets

Recommended Videos

In Deathloop you’re going to find that the enemies you encounter are well-armed, which includes personal defense systems like sentry turrets.  These enemy Turrets can cut you to shreds with gunfire, that’s why it’s important to be able to disable turrets when you encounter them.  This guide will explain how to disable turrets in Deathloop and even control them and turn them on your enemies.

How to Disable Turrets in Deathloop

If you can get close enough to a turret you can disable it by taking out the battery pack. You can find the turret battery pack in the back of the turret. It has a handle on it and lights on it that show the turret’s power level. Simply walk or sneak up to it, and interact with the battery pack to disable the turret. Once the battery is taken out of the turret it will no longer be able to shoot or detect you.

How to Hack and Control Turrets

The Hackamajig that you get at the beginning of Deathloop is going to come into play here. If the turret is powered up and attuned to enemies you’ll need to use the Hackamajig to hack the turret. Simply equip the Hackamajig and look at the turret and you will see a prompt like the image above. Press and hold the L1 Button (PlayStation) and you will then have control of the turret.

Turrets under your control will have a green tracking beam.

How to Deploy Turret

Turrets that are under your control have a few different options than those that aren’t. You can turn off turrets that are under your control without removing the battery. They will fold down into a small briefcase that is easy to carry. When carrying the Turret in the briefcase form, you can simply deploy the turret by holding the Square Button (PlayStation).

If you really want to get creative with the turret in Deathloop you can deploy it from afar with the Hackamajig. Simply drop the briefcase in any spot and you can hack it from distance with the hacking tool.  This will allow you to potentially get the drop on your enemies. This remote control also works both ways so if you would like to disable the turret from afar with your Hackamajig you can do that as well.

And that’s everything you need to know about Disabling Turrets in Deathloop, hacking and control sentry turrets in the game.
