Forza Horizon 3 continues the proud tradition of the Forza series in just how beautiful of a game it really is. Horizon’s photo mode was able to capture this in the past, and now players have yet another option as well that is known as Drone Mode.
Drone Mode is just as it sounds, where you take control of a drone and can fly anywhere you want across the huge map of Australia offered in Forza Horizon 3. This can be used to not only take in all the sights of the game, but also as an excellent scouting mechanism, so the big question is just how to get access to this.
Very early in Forza Horizon 3, you will earn your first skill points, which can then be spent in one of three areas, Festival Boss, Skills, and Instant Rewards.
The Festival Boss category is what you will want specifically for the purposes of Drone Mode, as the default option for it will unlock Drone Mode, which is described as “Anything you discover with Drone Mode is added to your Map–points of interest, locations, and even barn finds!”
This is really one of the first things you should unlock, just because it will help you immensely with finding different locations on the map with much easier controls than having to always drive the car around. This is especially helpful with the Barn Finds as well, so unlocking this early in the game is vital.
