Unlike its predecessors Pokemon GO, Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is launching with a ton of content and complex gameplay mechanics. This means there’s a lot more to do, but also a lot more to learn. And with the game featuring some questionable tutorials, we’re here to fill in the gaps. One of the widest gaps in the game’s knowledge transfer process surrounds Wizarding Challenges which are required to complete many daily assignments. So here’s a quick guide on what are Wizarding Challenges in Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
What are Wizarding Challenges
The answer lies in two places: Fortresses and Portkeys. If you’ve been playing Wizards Unite for awhile you’ve likely picked up a ton of Portkeys along the way. These are one way to encounter Wizarding Challenges, though they are far from the best one. Since it’s pretty random, don’t rely too much on Portkeys for your daily Wizarding Challenge requirement. Simply interact with them as normal, using the keys you have to unlock them whenever possible. If they bring up a Challenge then that’s great, but most of the time you’ll want to track down a Fortress instead.
Fortresses are the most interactable element on the Harry Potter: Wizards Unite map. These giant structures are built around Wizard Challenges, with players facing off against multiple foes on their way to the top of the tower. Each fight is its own Wizard Challenge, so you don’t have to complete the whole thing if you only need to finish one. Basically just run to the nearest Fortress and enter it, then complete as many battles as you like and you will accomplish your main goal of completing a Wizard Challenge for the day.
Not sure what to do once you’re at a Fortress? Thankfully we’ve already run through that in this guide. Check it out and let us know if anything is still confusing you in the game.
