Kingdom Hearts 3 has a unique way to save your gave.  To make sure that you are always saving your progress you are going to want to keep an eye out for save points in the game.  As you can see in the image above, you’re going to want to look for these green spots on the ground that have swirling spheres hovering above it.

To save in Kingdom Hearts 3 you simply need to walk over one of these points with Sora and then press the button that shows up in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.  That will be Triangle on the PlayStation 4 and the Y button on the Xbox One.

Once you press the save button you will open up a menu screen that will prompt you with choosing a specific save slot.

These green save spots can also refill your health and magic gauges if you walk over them.  You don’t actually need to save to do this.  Simply walk over the save point and you will see your gauges refill instantly whether you use the save or not.

While these save points are your main way to manually save your progress, if you die in a battle you’ll have some options as to how you want to proceed.  You can retry the current battle.  You can prepare and retry which allows you to fix any load-out issues you have.  You can continue, which will load your last save.  Or, you can chose a save that you want to load.
