The Krypt returns yet again in Mortal Kombat 11 in its most expansive form to date. Not only will you be walking around and opening chests, but you will have to solve puzzles to advance from place to place along the way. Not long after you start, you will notice your first major obstacle in the form of a giant locked door. This guide will detail just how you can get that door open.
How To Open The First Big Door In The Krypt
There isn’t too much to say about the very first area of The Krypt, as you just have a number of chests to open before you seemingly come across a dead end. You should notice a giant hammer on a pedestal as well here that you can grab, which is actually Shao Kahn’s hammer. This can be used to break the wall nearby to get you to your first major area known as the Courtyard.
Once you get into the Courtyard, you will notice that there are a few big doors you must get open to advance further into The Krypt here, though with no obvious way to open them. What you must do is start heading over to the left area and you should notice a wall you can break down with Shao Kahn’s Hammer.
Within this area, you should see a giant gong that is near impossible to miss. Now you have a gong in front of you and a hammer in your possession. What do you think you’re supposed to do? Hit the gong with the hammer of course. Proceed to do that and the door you were looking to open before will do so and allow you to advance to the new location known as The Forge.
