Resident Evil 2 Remake How to Unlock Hunk

True to the roots of the series, you can play as Hunk in the Resident Evil 2 Remake.  In Resident Evil 2 Remake playing as Hunk is an entirely different mode called The 4th Survivor.  This guide will explain how to unlock Hunk and use him in The 4th Survivor Mode.

You can unlock Hunk in Resident Evil 2 Remake by completing the campaign as Leon and Claire.  Though it’s important to note, unlocking Hunk is only for this survival based mode.  You cannot use Hunk to play the campaign from his perspective.

In the 4th Survivor Mode Hunk is essentially the last man standing from an Umbrella private special ops group called the U.S.S.  and his goal is to escape Raccoon City by reaching an extraction point at the Police Station.  You’ll start out in the Sewers area from the main campaign and will be given a specific inventory of items to use to make it the exit.  That means you’ll be limited to the health sprays, herbs, grenades, weapons, and ammunition that Hunk starts with in 4th Survivor.

Unlike the Leon and Claire campaigns, you can not pick up any more items during The 4th Survivor.  You will only be able to use what you start with and you’ll need to take a pretty specific route to make it out alive.  This route takes you from the sewers, up through the underground facility, to the parking garage, to the police station and if you’re lucky enough, out to the front of the station for extraction.
