Summer is on the way out for the year in The Quarry, and protagonists Jacob and Emma are preparing one last big bonfire before they have to go their separate ways. But before that, they must gather supplies in Chapter 2, and in doing so they get to exercise their mutual mischievous side. They go to the camp store to find party favors but run into their first roadblock: a locked door, which Jacob attempts to finesse open. Should Emma Kick the Door, or Let Jacob Pick the Lock in The Quarry? Read on to find out!
Should Emma Kick the Door or Let Jacob Pick the Lock in The Quarry?
The choice doesn’t matter, although you get better dialogue if you let Jacob continue, as it turns out he’s quite good at it, to Emma’s surprise. But this isn’t the only opportunity you get for Emma to act on her apparent hatred for locked doors (remember, she also wanted to break into the cabin with Abigail) as there’s another locked door leading to the stockroom further inside. Minor spoilers are ahead!
If you continue further in, you’ll notice a man stalking just outside, so your instinct might be not to kick the door to prevent noise. But the answer yet again doesn’t matter, as you don’t get anybody’s attention, and fail miserably to open the door if you kick it, only to ultimately allow Jacob to pick the lock too.
Don’t forget to search the store for supplies, clues, and evidence. There’s one tool you’ll find here that’ll prove vital, in the stockroom. There’s another choice you’ll encounter though, where you’ll need to decide on whether or not to grab fireworks. But that’s a topic for another guide.
