Tribes of Midgard is about exploring and broadening your horizons while also protecting the homefront. That means you’re going to need to make it back to your village quickly at times to turn back a Helthing assault or stop a giant’s attack. Gladly you can fast travel in a couple of different ways. In this guide we’ll explain how to unlock fast travel in Tribes of Midgard by unlocking shrines and using the rune that you carry by default.
Using the Rune to Fast Travel
You’re going to start out with the ability to fast travel from the start. However, the built in ability is via the rune that you carry by default. That rune can be found in the tools in the bottom left hand side of the screen. The brown rune can be activated by pressing the Right Thumbstick if using a controller or by pressing the T Key on KBM.
Using the rune for fast travel is a one way trip back to your village. This will take a few seconds to activate and then you will be warped back to your village Shrine.

There are also other shrines throughout the world. Since things are procedurally generated we can’t say exact where these are, but when you come upon a Shrine the icon will look like a star and it will be greyed out. Simply walk up to the Shrine and activate it to be able to use it for fast travel. Once you have a shrine unlocked you are free to travel back and forth to your village or other Shrine locations.
